As part of our mission to provide opportunities for all to attend, explore, participate and create, the Lied Center is partnering with USD 497 to bring a variety of performing arts experiences to the children at Kennedy Early Childhood Education Center. The goal of the Preschool Performing Arts initiative is to help build an arts curriculum for children in the district’s Pre-K program, utilizing talented local teaching artists to share performances, instruction and demonstrations to students and their teachers.

The USD 497 Pre-K program serves families with children who may not otherwise have the opportunity to attend preschool. Incorporating the arts into the early childhood education experience aids in the development of students’ school-readiness skills, and sparks creativity and imagination in our youngest audiences.
