For this year’s One Day One KU giving event, the University Honors Program seeks to grow two specific funds that are vital to student success.

Student Programming
You can support the program’s unrestricted fund. This fund grants us the flexibility to support emerging needs and opportunities, while also resourcing the development and implementation of new programs, such as "Extending Your Honors Path," an experience designed to connect soon-to-be program graduates with honors alumni.

Once launched, this event will act as the final leg of our scaffolded “Honors Path” series, which includes programming for first-year students, sophomores, and rising seniors. Our goal with the “Honors Path” framework is to bring students together at pivotal points to reflect on milestones and draw connections to what comes next, all while building community with each other and with faculty, staff, and alumni mentors.

Study Abroad Fund
You can also direct your support to our study abroad fund. Your gift here supports students’ aspirations to cross borders and encounter cultures through their learning, which our program encourages and is able to support thanks to donors.

Many programs for which honors students seek assistance are strongly tied to our program. With destinations in Great Britain, France, Costa Rica, and Brazil, these programs are led by honors educators and bookended by coursework that helps students prepare for and process their experiences. Honors students can then apply their reflections to the Enhanced Learning Experience component of our completion requirements.

Contributing to one or both of these priorities is a concrete way to help advance our mission of challenging students to launch extraordinary lives.

Thank you for your generosity and support.
