Pharmacists have always played a vital role in patient healthcare. Early in this decade, the COVID-19 pandemic put pharmacists front and center in the battle to stem the spread and manage the symptoms of the disease. In rural areas, pharmacists are often the most accessible healthcare professionals available. In both rural and urban areas, Kansas has a critical need for more pharmacists.
One Day One KU is an opportunity to support the pharmacist pipeline by giving generously to the KU School of Pharmacy. We prepare future pharmacists to meet the health needs of Kansas and beyond. Often, our students need extra financial support to be successful in their KU Pharmacy experience and to reduce their financial stress. Your contributions support students through:
- Tuition assistance
- Conference and travel expenses
- Activities that support their learning and well-being as students
In addition to student support, we’re also prioritizing unrestricted funds. These funds give the dean the flexibility to meet needs that our regular budget doesn’t support, such as recognition events for students, faculty, staff and alumni.
The KU School of Pharmacy also has a renowned research history. More than two dozen FDA-approved drugs have been invented or co-invented by KU Pharmacy faculty supported by graduate student researchers. Your donations can also support these students and faculty while strengthening our research efforts.
Thank you for considering a generous donation to the student support fund or the unrestricted fund during One Day One KU. Rock Chalk!
