KU School of Medicine opened its doors in Kansas City in 1905. For nearly 120 years, we’ve prepared doctors to serve communities across Kansas and dedicated ourselves to improving the health of our state.
Today, as part of a world-class academic medical center, we are pursuing revolutionary research with the power to save lives and improve care for families in Kansas and across the nation. Our school was ranked among the top 15 medical schools in the country for primary care training, according to U.S. News & World Report. KU School of Medicine ranked 10th in the percentage of graduates practicing in health professional shortage areas and 12th in the percentage of graduates providing direct patient care in rural areas. With your support on One Day One KU, we can expand support for our students and key initiatives serving our state and the future of health care.
