Students, alumni, faculty and staff in the University of Kansas School of Education & Human Sciences (SOEHS) make discoveries and contributions that impact the state of Kansas, the nation and the world. Founded in 1909, we’ve prepared teachers, administrators, counselors, psychologists, and health and sport professionals as leaders for over a century. We make marks, create change, and rise to today’s greatest challenges in communities, classrooms, and human science fields.

The SOEHS is currently ranked among the top twenty Best Education Schools overall and in the top ten for public universities by U.S. News and World Report. In addition, two of its specialized programs are ranked among the nation’s best. The school’s online master’s in special education has been consistently ranked as #1 in the nation and the online master’s degree in curriculum and instruction ranked #19 overall.

As always, your gift of any amount will be gratefully received and have an immediate beneficial impact on our School. Every dollar of support for the school is needed more than ever to ensure the success of our students and support cutting-edge research and discoveries. Please consider a gift to benefit these priority areas:

Student Success
Priority: Student Scholarships
A gift to this area will support students through financial scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students. SOEHS scholarships are available for students in the school across undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs, and are awarded to students beyond those available through other university processes. The scholarships provided by the school’s donors reflect the wide range of interests, backgrounds, and focus in education and human science professions.

Priority: Student Success
A gift to this area will provide regionally and nationally competitive programming and opportunities to strengthen recruitment and retention of students, including support for required professional experiences and internships, professional mentoring programs, and funding for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB) initiatives.

Research & Discovery
Priority: Entrepreneurship & Innovation
A gift to this area will support faculty innovation and entrepreneurship within the School through programming and support to assist in the development of breakthrough ideas and practices, as well as initiatives designed to recognize teaching and research excellence, nurture future leadership, and plan for administrative roles, centers, and offices in our school and across campus.

Please see our generous donor matches and challenges below to make your gift go even further! On behalf of Dean Rick Ginsberg and KU’s students of Education & Human Sciences, we thank you for your generosity.
