At the University of Kansas, we believe anyone who wishes to pursue a college degree should have that opportunity, and we work tirelessly to make sure barriers to that pursuit are removed. Here, we are recruiting the best and brightest students to the Jayhawk community.
In the fall of 2024, we proudly welcomed the largest freshman class in our history, totaling 5,323 new Jayhawks. This remarkable cohort boasts an unprecedented record-high average high school GPA of 3.68, reflecting the exceptional caliber of students joining our academic community. In addition, we also realized our highest overall enrollment in the university’s history and achieved record-high retention and graduation rates for returning Jayhawks, as well as all-time high enrollment for underrepresented, military-affiliated and out-of-state students.
Our commitment to our students extends far above and beyond their admission to our great university. We are dedicated to providing the necessary resources to ensure their success, and we need YOU to achieve this mission. Central to our pursuit of excellence is the availability of undergraduate needs-based scholarships, a crucial factor influencing prospective students considering a KU education. In any given year, more than 8,100 students rely on privately funded scholarships from KU Endowment. This support is indispensable for our students to realize their educational aspirations.
Your support on One Day One KU makes a meaningful difference and can transform a student’s life. Your gift will open doors to higher education for students who may face financial barriers, empowering them to achieve their academic aspirations. Together, we can ensure that a KU education remains accessible to all students, regardless of their financial background. Your gift provides more than financial support – it provides hope, opportunity and a brighter future.
Every gift counts. Every gift makes a difference. Thank you!
