Multiple Sclerosis Achievement Center (MSAC) at University of Kansas Medical Center provides a specialized wellness program for people living with progressed multiple sclerosis, one of only four programs of its kind in the country.
Each week, members come to our center to engage in meaningful, evidence-informed activities that support the whole person — physically, emotionally and cognitively. Together, we've built a community rooted in support, growth and independence for people living with progressed MS. Your gift helps ensure they have a place to renew purpose, build strength and feel connected.
Today you can support the people who attend each week and make sure the MSAC is around for years to come.
MSAC Exercise Equipment Fund
Movement is critical to independence. MSAC provides mobility equipment that helps members keep moving and is accessible to individuals with progressed MS. We are celebrating ten years at University of Kansas Medical Center, and it's time to replace worn out equipment. Your gift will help us purchase a NuStep to replace our oldest equipment. This machine helps build endurance, strengthen the upper and lower body and support cardiovascular health.
Funding the Future of the MS Achievement Center Endowed Fund
We want MSAC to be around for another ten years and beyond. Even as therapies improve and we continue to develop earlier interventions, the need for a place like the MS Achievement Center won't go away. People will continue to require the expertise and supportive community only found at the MSAC.
Giving to this endowed fund allows your investment to continue to grow. Over time this fund will be able to pay for the staff that provide the critical expertise that helps our members live more independently. You are creating a legacy of compassion and making a smart investment in the future of MS care.
