Nurses are always learning. The KU School of Nursing is always teaching.
Our faculty research, create and teach the science of nursing, ensuring students are prepared to practice where the profession of nursing is now, and where it’s heading.
KU’s undergraduate nursing program is currently ranked 17th among public universities by U.S. News & World Report—that’s the top 3% of all nursing programs in the United States. And our nurse-midwifery graduate program is ranked 11th nationwide.
This proven history of excellence in nursing education means students graduate ready to lead, care and exercise sound clinical judgement in whatever setting they choose.
Please consider giving in these areas:
Student Success
Priority: School of Nursing Scholarships
Did you know that a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is one of the most expensive degrees?
But thanks to your generosity, the KU School of Nursing was able to award more than $1M in scholarships across all academic levels during academic year 2023.
Your gift this year to student scholarships helps ease financial burden and ensures our students continue to thrive. Help us ensure students are able to afford to become nurses.
Healthy and Vibrant Communities
Priority: School of Nursing - Salina Campus
The Salina Campus, located in central Kansas, offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in a smaller, personable learning environment. The Health Education Center building accommodates 48 nursing students on the Salina campus. Your donation to the Salina campus directly addresses the critical shortage of available nursing care in Kansas and helps future nursing students with a strong desire to practice in rural areas succeed.
Research and Discovery
Priority: Kansas Nursing Workforce Center
The Kansas Nursing Workforce Center’s mission is to ensure Kansans have access to nurses when and where they need them and support nurses both individually and as part of the health care team.
Your contribution will help the Center create a one-stop-shop for data about the Kansas nursing workforce. The data warehouse we are building will answer important questions about nursing supply and demand, impact to care and value of nursing.
Your donation accelerates the work that has started for the benefit of all Kansans.
On behalf of KU Nurses, we thank you for your generosity.
