KU International Affairs connects KU to the world and the world to KU. Giving to International Affairs during One Day One KU will enable us to send students abroad, provide passports for students who don’t have them, assist international students in crisis and support our Area Studies Centers, which are critical to our understanding of the world.

FUND STUDY ABROAD SCHOLARSHIPS
Studying abroad prepares KU students for a global future, shaping their perspectives and teaching them to navigate different cultures. Yet many students face academic or financial obstacles that prevent them from participating. Your contribution to KU’s study abroad scholarships will help make education abroad accessible to all KU students, preparing them to be global leaders.

PROVIDE FREE PASSPORTS
Just $165 – the cost of a passport – is all it takes for KU students to begin to envision an education abroad. Putting a U.S. passport in the hands of a KU student who has never had one unlocks a world of possibility. For students of limited means, it also eliminates financial barriers to going abroad.

AID INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS IN CRISIS
Each year our international students face unforeseen challenges from around the world – war, natural disasters or unanticipated medical bills. To help navigate these difficulties, international students can apply for Special Student Relief or Economic Hardship, which allows them to work off campus. Five gifts of $100 each is enough to cover the federal application fee, enabling a lifeline of support.

SUPPORT AREA STUDIES CENTERS
This fall, KU International Affairs welcomed the five area studies centers into the division. These centers are critical to our understanding of the world, providing interdisciplinary instruction and research, language training, and outreach to local and regional communities and governments. Join us in welcoming these vital campus resources by donating a gift that will go directly toward joint educational programming.
