Your support this year provides funding for the Hall Center’s Applied Humanities Boot Camp and Applied Humanities Summer Fellowships. These programs encourage graduate students in the humanities, arts, and social sciences to think about the skills they are acquiring through their graduate training and the ways in which they can apply those skills in a range of exciting careers.
The annual Applied Humanities Boot Camp provides intensive training, practical advice, and professional networking opportunities to twenty graduate students. The goal is to encourage participants to imagine a range of career options, as broadly as possible, and equip them for entry into those job markets.
The Hall Center's Applied Humanities Summer Fellows program supports PhD or MA students who would like to explore ways they can apply the research skills they have acquired as graduate students to projects that collaborate with community organizations and/or career paths other than academic research or teaching.
By donating, you can increase our ability to attract top graduate students, support humanities research, and help us with this year's fundraising efforts to maintain programs that enhance graduate students' professional development, expanding their chances at a range of exciting careers. Your support is crucial in furthering our mission and making a positive impact in the lives of graduate students at KU!
