Stand with our graduate students. Invest in their resilience.
At the University of Kansas, groundbreaking ideas aren’t just dreams — they are being realized every day by our exceptional graduate students. These students are more than scholars; they are trailblazers driving research, educators shaping minds, mentors building future leaders, and essential pillars of our university’s mission.
Graduate students make up 25% of our student body, playing a critical role in KU's excellence and vibrancy. Yet, for these bright minds, an unplanned expense, a sudden emergency, or a change in financial circumstances can pose an overwhelming burden for those living on tight budgets. For many, these unforeseen hurdles can make continuing their education seem impossible.
To address this reality, the Graduate Student Emergency Fund was established to provide critical, one-time financial relief to graduate students facing unexpected hardships. With your contribution, you are providing a safety net for these scholars. Our Graduate Student Emergency Fund has already provided essential aid to over 185 students, allowing them to overcome financial crises and remain focused on their academic goals.
Your gift — no matter the size — provides more than financial aid; it offers hope, stability, and the chance for a student to continue contributing to the vibrant KU community. Let’s ensure that no KU student has to choose between an unexpected expense and their education.
Thank you for your thoughtful support and unwavering commitment to the success of KU students.
