Join the Dole Institute of Politics in Celebrating SAB20

Student engagement and opportunities are a cornerstone of the Dole Institute’s mission. For nearly 20 years, the Dole Institute Student Advisory Board—the official student organization of the Institute—has brought KU students together who are united by common interests in public service, government, and politics. Through informative discussions and experiential learning opportunities, they broaden their understanding of our country and the world beyond what’s taught in the classroom. 

Your gift to the Dole Institute during this year’s One Day One KU campaign will support the growth of the Student Advisory Board in honor of the organization’s 20th anniversary—enabling us to reach the next generation of leaders in new and innovative ways.

Active members of the Student Advisory Board have the opportunity to:

• Meet and network with special guests at the Dole Institute’s programs, including current and former government officials, journalists, authors, and more 
• Volunteer at Dole Institute events and throughout the region through university-wide volunteering initiatives
• Receive financial assistance from the Dole Institute to support leadership development and their participation in career-advancing internships
• Support the Dole Institute’s Get Out the Vote efforts each fall, which help register eligible voters in Kansas and increase voter participation among 18-24 year olds
• Participate in experiential learning opportunities, student exchanges, and other travel opportunities in partnership with fellow institutes of politics throughout the nation

Politics is an opportunity to connect people across differences. For over 20 years, the Dole Institute has modeled the values of bipartisanship, civil discourse, and public service—all inspired by the leadership legacies of Senators Bob and Elizabeth Dole.
