The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences is the Heart of KU. It is the oldest, largest, and most diverse school at KU. The College is a part of every KU student’s journey on the Hill. The students who make their home within our majors have a few distinct traits: curiosity, grit, compassion, creativity, and purpose are at the top.

Our students are driven to make a change, and have an impact in their communities, their chosen industries, and the world. They seek answers to big questions: cancer and global pandemics, sustainability and renewable energies, inequity and discrimination, community well-being and healthcare – and you can help them do it.

Imagine a few hundred dollars keeping you from graduating with your degree or being able to enroll in your next semester. It happens more than you would think. Students often find themselves unable to continue their studies because of an unexpected medical bill, a gap in their financial aid, a broken-down car, or an increase in rent. Your support of the Dean’s Student Emergency Fund will help relieve students of small financial burdens and will provide immediate assistance for a pressing need – all while keeping them enrolled at KU and on track for graduation.

The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences is the Heart of KU. As the biggest, most diverse school at KU, your gift to the Heart of KU Fund will support our students and faculty in areas that are of greatest need and the Dean's highest priorities.
